Yesterday, the first in a trio of finales hit the TV world as Maisel fans said goodbye to their favorite program. Coming up, in less than a week, are the series finales of Succession and Ted Lasso. Disney Plus and hulu are dropping several shows from their services here in a few days, so if you hadn’t finished any of these shows: Willow, Big Shot, The mysterious Benedict Society, Turner and hooch, The World According To Jeff Goldblum, Maggie, Pistol, y The Last Man, Little Demon, Dollface, or any of the movies or specials disappearing with them, now would be the time to catch up. I would recommend a binge of Big Shot if you never got to see it. The Too Much TV Roundup- 05/12/23

Yesterday provided ample TV news. NBC announced their fall lineup, which included a Season 2 renewal for Lopez V Lopez, and has left its remaining sitcoms (American Auto, Young Rock, and Grand Crew) on the bubble. NBC also surprisingly revived Transplant with a 2 season order (since the series comes from Canada), and pushed LaBrea’s tiny third (and likely final) season to mid season. Meanwhile, The CW surprisingly rescued cancelled AMC drama 61st Street. I’m not sure why. I’m not sure anyone was asking for that. The Too Much TV Roundup- 05/05/23

Definitely some big TV news yesterday. Kevin Costner’s perpetual temper tantrum has turned into this being the final season of Yellowstone. However, they are planning on doing a sequel spinoff series starring Matthew McConaughey and many of the current Yellowstone cast. Also cancelled is CBS’s 6 season success story SWAT, which was cancelled over money squabbling between CBS and Sony. Despite the fact that SWAT has actually grown its audience the past couple seasons, it’s too expensive, and a deal could not be reached. CBS let go most of the series regulars of Bob Hearts Abishola so the show would be cheap enough to be worth continuing.
