The Small Screen Diaries: 09/26/25

TV Shows Watched: Peacemaker: S2E6 (HBO MAX) with audio description, Marvel Zombies: S1E3 (Disney plus) with audio description,Wayward: S1E1 (Netflix) with audio description, the Summer I Turned Pretty: S3E10 (Amazon) with audio description, My Life With the Walter boys: S2E6 (Netflix) with audio description, celebrity Weakest Link: S1E1 (Hulu) no audio description, The Daily Show: Monday (Paramount Plus) no audio description, and Who wants to Be A Millionaire: S4E8 (Hulu) with audio description Peacemaker- I’ve heard this is game changing. Considering I’ve recently seen Superman, I’m not sure something can be that game changing when the thing that came before … Continue reading The Small Screen Diaries: 09/26/25

The Small Screen Diaries- 01/12/24

Apple better be continuing on with For All Mankind. That season finale was a beast, and did exactly what I thought it would. Because the show takes these leaps forward in time, original cast members have to keep being shaved off because there’s only just so much you can age a person. Just like how last season ended with a few original cast members exiting, it’s highly likely that the way certain characters are written, means the end for them on the show (at least as regulars). However, there was one prominent character whose future was not shown, and that … Continue reading The Small Screen Diaries- 01/12/24

The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/23/23

Well, that was a lot faster the next time around. Amazon has picked up Good Omens for a third season, so hopefully the wait between Season 2 and 3 will be much less. 8) Krapopolis (Hulu) English Audio Description?: No Status: Unknown I still wish this show had audio description, but this silly plot about dead goats was funny enough. I didn’t realize until this episode that Matt Barry was voicing a monster, because all i hear is Lazlo. Episode Grade: B 7) Heartstopper (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Renewed? Some of the side characters had some plots, like … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/23/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/10/23

I’m trying to keep up with the bottom three on Dancing With The Stars, and Adrian Peterson has made it further than I thought he would. it’s almost like he’s made a switch or something. 6) Ahsoka (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Not Yet Renewed in case you are wondering how the final episode of the Disney Plus series wound up at the bottom, I have two words for you. Stormtrooper Zombies. No thank you. I love Rosario Dawson, but this show has seemingly gone out of its way to be the weirdest and most disappointing series so … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 10/10/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 09/07/23

I bet it just got a little more awkward for those of you rewatching That 70’s Show. Just a little bit? 10) Outlander (Starz) English Audio Description?: No Status: Final Season I’ve caught up with Season 7. Mistress Fraser is currently in jail for her supposed murder that I couldn’t tell had happened in Season 6, because there’s no audio description. There’s more context given here, and when the more likely murderer confesses, I understood more of it. But there were still lots of questions. Was she on a boat? Is that boat just not moving? Was that another time … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 09/07/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/17/23

12) 8 Simple Rules (Disney plus) English Audio Description?: No Sorry, this was a tough day to rank, and 8 Simple Rules just felt like it missed a mark the most. This episode had a solid reference to Three’s Company, but squandered the “kids out of the house” moment by not letting the adults actually have any meaningful time together. john Ritter’s time on the show was fleeting, and I can’t help but think this missed a mark to show that Paul and Kate were more than just parents. What made it worse was that Kate tried so hard to … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/17/23

I’ve been deep diving a bit more into the SAG-AFTRA talks and some of the stuff they’re requesting isn’t unreasonable. Actually, none of it is. Just take some of these CEO salaries, lower them, and you’ll have the money to pay for some of this stuff. Also, for the poor people without cable or Peacock, Yellowstone is coming to CBS in the fall since they are a little short on new programming. Add to that, the UK version of Ghosts, which I’m at least interested in checking out.

The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/20/23

Well, in a shocking turn of events, HBO is in talks to license some of its original content to Netflix. i have to believe that these are the lower tier titles. It’s actually not that weird. True Blood is on Hulu. So, if Netflix starts running Boardwalk Empire, Carnivale, or Six Feet under anytime soon, you’ll know why. No way will this extend to Game of Thrones. 7) XO Kitty (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Renewed After the initial shock of not being familiar with the source material, seeing how Dae is trapped in this fake relationship he seems … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/20/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/13/23

CBS already is talking about not being worried about next season as they have Paramount Plus shows to rely on. Meanwhile, since today is Wednesday, in the middle of June, I feel the need to point out that this is when ABC has decided to drop the second season of The Wonder Years. Clearly, it’s a burn off. With the writer’s strike, any sensible person would have accepted this moving to at least a late summer (August) launch so it could bleed into the beginning of the fall season and give ABC some fresh content. Maybe ABC is planning on … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/13/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- July 19th

Yesterday was very weird. None of my punctuation marks were where they were supposed to be, and it was driving me insane. Today, everything is normal. I don’t know, nor do I claim to understand when the Matrix falls apart like that. Back in my seeing days, I had a bit more patience for random bullshit, but now, my tolerance for such nonsense is low. Here’s the rankings for today. 1) Breeders (FX/Hulu) English Audio Description Available?: No In Episode 6, I got the distinct feeling that we are not headed for a good place in the season finale. The … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- July 19th

The Too Much TV Roundup- July 9th

Welcome back to the roundup. Not a big list of shows for the day, but a pretty solid one. 1) Shining Girls (Apple Plus) English Audio Description: Yes I vote this series most likely to make you go “WTF” and make your skin crawl in the same episode. A fascinating piece of work from Apple, really unlike anything else on right now. It would be easy to write this off as a standard crime solving TV series, but Kirby breaking with reality every episode really does put a twist on things. And, the narration does a great job of following … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- July 9th

The Too Much TV Roundup- June 29th

Just showing that it can happen. Nothing I watched yesterday is managing an A grade. Minus is as high as we go. 1) The Weakest Link (NBC/Peacock/Hulu) English Audio Description Available?: Depending On Platform. Bet you didn’t see this coming. i was laughing my ass off as somehow, the two dumbest players survived until the finale. This one guy missed the trivia question “I before E except after… what?” I was living for some of these answers. Ultimately, someone who did not deserve 40K got 40K. I loved. This episode so much. The one guy got to the finale and … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- June 29th
