I saw the upcoming list of shows starting next week, and Virgin River is likely the one most worth mentioning. Though, I am really happy that I Am Groot got a second season. 14) The Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Renewed Good news for fans, the show got renewed. I actually enjoyed everything I saw yesterday, and this is on the bottom really for two reasons. The first being that this series is still not describing the Spanish dialogue. I’m working on my DuoLingo, and I’m not adept at this, other than picking up a few words … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 09/02/23

Not quite as many shows today, but more than the previous Monday. The big TV news is that HBO has predictably cancelled The idol. No surprise there. 7) 7) How To Become A Cult Leader (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Limited I was more interested in the second episode, which found us diving into Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre. This actually brought up quite a lot of things I didn’t know, and I found it more interesting than the Manson episode. Episode Grade: B+ 6) Frasier (Paramount Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Revival Coming Soon Bulldog spends … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/28/23

RIP Ron Cephas Jones. Only 66. Wow. He’s sure to be known for his work on This Is Us, but he’s done many other projects, and just didn’t gain that level of recognition (or Emmy award) until that show. his daughter, Jasmine Cephas Jones is also a brilliant actress, currently starring on Starz’s Blindspotting. 13) Hey Dude (Paramount Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: Ended I remember loving this show so much as a kid. It doesn’t even play to that young of an audience either. Yet, I find myself struggling to enjoy a show again that just feels under … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/19/23

I shall predict that the whole thing we aren’t liking about how streaming services are pulling content will be far more common place after the strike is settled, and some of those shows they have to start paying residuals on. So take this strike, and if there is a relatively obscure series on a streaming service right now that you have not seen yet… watch the hell out of it. It likely will get purged. Honestly, I never thought HBo would purge Westworld, so all bets are off. 11) Dark Winds (AMC Plus) English Audio Description?: No Status: not Yet … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 08/08/23

After a day of some interesting news, the best thing I’ve got for you this morning is that hulu has cancelled Up Here after 1 season. I didn’t even finish that show, so no love lost here. 12) Mulligan (Netflix) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Not yet Renewed When trying to figure out who lands on the bottom, every once in a while I run into the problem of watching too much TV, and not really remembering something. All i remember was Tina Fey’s character yelling at someone to be a dumbass, and the Senator character joking about how Spanish … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/28/23

So, SAG is on strike. It’s a great time to catch up on a show, since most of the shows haven’t been shooting, and now even more of them won’t be. I’ve heard some overseas productions are still filming. I’m not sure how. But they are MAX projects, including House Of The Dragon. 15) The Muppets Mayhem (Disney Plus) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Not Yet Renewed Now, I really want Peter Jackson to direct a Muppets movie. For those who don’t understand how amazing this would be, it’s not because of his Beatles thing on Disney Plus. Let’s just … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 07/13/23

After The Other Two dropped their big bomb yesterday, Reservation Dogs followed them with the exact same announcement, that the 3rd season will be it’s last. I remember when most shows wanted to hit season 4 because it put syndication into play, but with shows no longer running 22 episode seasons, there’s no need for that. Reservation Dogs would need nine seasons to get to that point. Also, ABC is sticking with Home Economics a little bit longer. A huge show of good faith, the network has extended the contracts for the cast while waiting decision on a renewal. I … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 06/29/23

Happy Mother’s Day to all those out there who need to hear that. No big news today. That’s it. It’s just Mother’s Day. 13) Family Matters (HBo MAX) English Audio Description?: Yes Status: Ended Look at HBO getting that AD on Family Matters. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched this show, and I’m not sure I ever saw the pilot. Of course, Family Matters was one of those shows that changed so much as the show progressed. Laura has almost no screentime in the pilot, I forgot she had a younger sister. Steve Urkel doesn’t exist. This is … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 05/13/23

Cyrano

Starring: Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr, and Ben Mendelssohn. Directed By: Joe Wright Where I Watched it: VOD English Audio Description Available?: Yes Description Provided By: Deluxe Narrated By: Laura Post The Plot: A cinematic adaptation of the stage musical adaptation of the classic Cyrano de Bergerac story. So, it’s adaptception. An adaptation within an adaptation. In this version, Cyrano (Dinklage) is brilliant, but born considerably shorter than those around him, who make a mockery of him, despite how eloquent he is, and how terrific he is with a sword in combat.
