Box Office Predictions: ‘Jungle Book’ Continues It’s Perch At #1

The Huntsman isn’t tracking that well. It already launched overseas, where it is doing so-so business. It won’t reach the 50M+ heights of the originals opening, and looks to get clobbered by Mowgli in his second week. The Jungle Book should have a really great hold, despite its huge opening, due in large part to the great cinemascore and reviews it has been getting. Also, Barbershop 3 seems to be headed the same direction, with less than 50% expected as a drop. Two other new releases might crack the top 10 in only 300 screens, simply because the box office is so top heavy right now. Next week is Keanu, Mother’s Day, and Ratchet and Clank. I honestly haven’t even seen a trailer for Mother’s Day yet. The marketing team for that sucks.
