Five shows today. A fairly average day.
1) What We Do in The Shadows (FX/Hulu)
English Audio Description Available?: Yes
In the second episode of the season, we still have audio description! And, we had a very odd way to spend a bunch of genie wishes on what was essentially a rapid fire version of The Bachelor. Plus, someone harbors strong feelings for Guillermo. Admittedly, not a lot of Boy/Colin Robinson in this one.
Episode Grade: A
2) Locke and Key (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
In the second episode of the final season, our least favorite Redcoat is still stomping about Key house demanding things that aren’t his, and now he has two echoes following him around. If you can summon more than one echo, then what is literally stopping him from summoning the entire British Redcoat army? or just an old phone book full of dead people? I think the Lockes would lose if they suddenly looked outside and found their house surrounded by 5,000 echoes.
Episoe Grade: A
3) Westworld (HBo/HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
To be honest, this was the best episode of Westworld in two seasons. Like, I can totally see why many people feel like the next one could be the series finale. This one took *a lot* of major players off the table. RIP any reason to watch this show. If the next episode doesn’t revive characters, I wouldn’t come back for Season 5 with the characters left for dead in this episode put in permanence. Also, seeing the mass chaos of everyone fighting everyone was bonkers, and I loved it. I wish Westworld had made better choices in past episodes like they do here.

4) Heartstopper (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
In the 7th episode, all I care about is whether or not the whole Charlie/Nick thing was just made public by those final words. That’s what I’m looking for in Episode 8, is answers. Because if so, Charlie’s life just got way more complicated.

5) The Lake (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
This show keeps getting better as well, as Justin continues to try anyway possible to beat his sister, who grows more terrifying each episode. She’s clearly a master manipulator, and it’s fun to see this show explore all of this, but something hit me… aren’t those two kiddos we’re now supposedly rooting for to hook up…. Cousins? Am I missing something? I know Justin is only her birth father… but wouldn’t there still be this close familial connection that makes this scenario not OK?
