Eight programs. I also watched two films, but I managed eight programs including the feature length final episode of Madoff. So, more like 7 episodes and 3 films.
8) How I Met Your Father? (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
“Did you really just dump shrimp into a pool where a woman is about to give birth?”
Did i really quit watching this show? Yes. yes I am.
Episode Grade: C-
7) Chicago Party Aunt (Netflix)
English Audio Description: Yes
I’ll just say i wasn’t a fan of the third episode of the new season. And I’ll leave it at that.
Episode Grade: C
6) The Rookie Feds (ABC)
I really thought we had another crossover event this week, since Feds characters were on the flagship show. But, no.I love how she’s a trainee who has basically been with the FBI for this tiny amount of time, yet it seems like they cannot function without her and vampire Cop. It’s all those years as a guidance counselor that have prepared her for being able to figure out how to navigate a reimagining of the film Double Jeopardy.
Episode Grade: C+
5) National Treasure: Edge Of Glory (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
As Disney has cancelled Big Shot and Mighty Ducks, but not yet Willow or National Treasure, I find myself contemplating life. So, Salazar is her father. Inexplicable, I know. Meanwhile, Catherine Zeta Jones is still on the hunt for a better role.
Episode Grade: C+
4) Madoff (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I’ll admit. I wasn’t a huge fan of suddenly finding out the final episode was 77 minutes long. Especially after the third episode was my least favorite, and that cracked the 1 hour mark. But, for the final episode, they did a fairly interesting job of tying this all back together, and this docuseries really does have some strong audio description. They use a lot of actors to recreate how things went down, and you can clearly get all your necessary information out of the audio description.
Episode Grade: B, Series Grade: B
3) The Chase (ABC/hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
James ended up having to face off against someone who really was worth rooting for. They had a nice cash builder, then they took the high offer, they won their chase, and became the only person to battle in the finale. If I’m being honest, his question set (for me) was a lot easier than hers. Not really fair.
Episode Grade: B+
2) The Connors (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Darlene learns she’s as cuddly as a porcupine and that might be why her job interviews don’t go well. Meanwhile, Dan tries Oatmeal. I will say, that even though we were supposed to realize Darlene was “a bit much” when she was interacting with the She Shed lady at the store, she did have a point. The woman was haggling over something that was a three pack and barely more than a dollar. People like her is why our country is failing. in her head, there’s this drifting notion that the customer is always right, so the store should be willing to break open the packaging and sell her only 2 of the 3, of something that costs about a dollar to begin with. Kudos to the writers room for writing a fake character i spent all day thinking about.
episode Grade: A-
1) Jack Ryan (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Jack gets closer. Then he realizes the plan is even bigger, and even more nefarious than he had originally imagined. Meanwhile, things in the CR are devolving as it is far too easy to kidnap the President of that country.
