I did not get to watch as much yesterday, as I spent a while on the phone with Hulu trying to figure out why my Continue Watching/My Stuff disappeared. It’s a known issue, and they can’t help you. My shows do not know where I am, and I really can’t remember, and it’s not storing the information. Don’t expect a lot of Hulu reviews from me until this is fixed. Though, there is one Hulu show on my list today.
9) Mad Men (AMC Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
i realized what happened, I think, though i still don’t understand. i finished Season 1 on FreeVee, which had audio description. Then, I noticed I lost my commercials, and audio description. I was confused, and assumed Season 2 was on Prime, but it’s actually reading it from my AMC Plus. This is not the easiest show to follow without audio description, considering the depth of the ensemble, and having only one season worth of audio description to get acclimated. This show is probably better than this grade, but I need audio description. Sorry, not sorry. #DescribeItToMe
Final Grade: B-
8) Outlander (Starz)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Final Season
I’m still rewatching Season 6, and this show is crying for audio description. This was a very Ian centric episode, as he talked a lot about living with the various tribes. At first, he was welcomed, then he was shunned, and the woman he loved was taken from him. i get that. However, there are TONS of scenes where dialogue is spars, and I don’t know what’s happening, plus I don’t speak Mohawk. Sadly, they didn’t offer that one in school. So, again, #DescribeItToMe

7) Muscles and Mayhem (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited Series
I’m fairly certain that I’m not supposed to be thinking about how cool it would be to have Netflix revive American Gladiators, as this series tackles a lot of the problems these Gladiators faced, on a show I wasn’t really aware of was that problematic. It’s a weird docuseries that is stoking my nostalgia, even though I’m sitting here also going “Wow, I didn’t know that. That’s terrible.”
Episode Grade: B
6) Everwood (FreeVee)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
A show that benefits from me having seen it. This is the episode where Andy is fired from being Colin’s doctor, Amy is mad at her father for breaking her trust, and Ephram blows up at his dad because he thinks his dad was having an affair, when he learns instead that it was his mom that was having the affair.I love Everwood, and i think everyone should, so #DescribeItToMe.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Frasier (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Revival Coming Soon
Sitcoms don’t leave as much time for audio description, plus this is a series rewatch for me. This episode revolves around Frasier falling for a woman who looks so much like his mother they could be twins. Of course, it’s also Martin’s birthday, and I think what I loved the most about it was how taken aback he was and just didn’t want Niles to ruin this moment for him. Even though he knew she wasn’t his wife, it was one of those odd coincidences. Audio description might ahve told us what she looked like, inn turn, telling us what Frasier’s mother used to look like. #DescribeItToMe
Episode Grade: B+
4) The Office (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
Peacock fought so hard for these rights. Why didn’t they put audio description on this? I just started rewatching a while ago, and this was fun to watch Dwight choose a healthcare plan and Jim and Pam conspire against him. Why audio description would have made it better? There’s a moment where Dwight is reading off medical conditions and without audio description, you don’t know who is raising their hand. Also, Michael throws ice cream sandwiches at people in the office. I’m fairly certain not everyone caught them, and not every throw was on point. #DescribeItToMe
Episode Grade: B+
3) Yellowjackets (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed
Still making my way through Season 1 now that it has audio description on paramount Plus. While the episode focused a lot on trying to figure out who was blackmailing the remaining four, it also flashed back to Tai taking a few girls off to find help, even though that does not go as expected, and we lose a Yellowjacket in a violent wolf attack. That audio description of Tai killing the wolf, and looking at her friend to see a hole in her cheek that showed her teeth was a great moment of audio description.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Hijack (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
Finding out this is not a limited series has me somewhat concerned. but, the mystery in the second episode was pushed even further. I thought that one guy in Dubai had some stuff figured out, but it turns out his fate was sealed. But, it is nice to see the balance of on the plane, along with people on the ground starting to piece things together. The mystery is what has me intrigued right now. The possibility of a second season? Confused. So confused.

1) The Bear (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed? Right?
First time this show has topped my list. Hulu finally adding audio description with the second season was a game changer. And this Sydney centric episode, having her travelling the city and trying out foods, and looking for employees, was really well done. This is debatable whether or not it’s actually a comedy, as I really never laughed, but the writing is quick, and I felt her dreams were coming true. Plus, with the aforementioned problems Hulu was having, I actually had to work to get this episode. So there’s that.
