Not quite as many shows today, but more than the previous Monday. The big TV news is that HBO has predictably cancelled The idol. No surprise there.

I was more interested in the second episode, which found us diving into Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre. This actually brought up quite a lot of things I didn’t know, and I found it more interesting than the Manson episode.

Bulldog spends the whole episode gaslighting Roz into believing no one wants to date her, because he wants her back, but is pretending to just be a babysitter.

5) The Office (Peacock)

Michael is looking into buying a new house. Meanwhile, the rest of the office participate in Olympic style games led by Jim. This would have been a great episode to have audio description, since most of the games are made up.

4) And Just Like That (MAX)

Congratulations on actually being able to handle all the cast in one episode. Every major character was actually featured, plus their spouse. Even if I’m not crazy about Aiden being back, not only did Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte all has something to do, but Seema, Maya, Lisa, and Che all furthered their characters, and even Anthony had substantial screentime. I’m actually impressed. That’s been one of my biggest complaints, is this show tending to treat the newer cast additions as the B squad, and gibing the originals far more priority.

3) The After Party (Apple Plus)

I’m not sure this episode needed to exist, giving us backstory on why Tiffany Haddish’s cop quit the force. but we got it. It now exists.

2) Chucky (Peacock)

This series doesn’t hold back. Granted, we are left on a bit of a cliffhanger, but there was at least another one biting the dust, very likely 2. It also gave us a look at Charles’s very first kill. I thought that potential second death would come later, and maybe it will, but if that person survives, they now know far too much.

1) The lake (Amazon)

I love how this show ended in a way that could be a satisfying series finale should Amazon not move forward, but also left open a door for a Season 3. This is probably one of the better shows no one is watching. i really have no idea who watches this.
