Eyes Of Wakanda- Third episode was great. A Wakandian spy retrieves an artifact that is also an artifact to another culture. I love how this show is diving into the complicated world of reclaiming artifacts that are part of a nations history. in the real world, we’re seeing developing African nations wanting their shit back that is sitting in museums. That’s their history. Here, two histories clash, as a part of Wakandian history is also part of an Asian artifact. A clever way to provoke conversation.

From- I plan on doing a full review of Season 2.

Black Mirror- Hated In The Nation is almost 90 minutes, and it is fantastic. One of my favorite episodes. It has some excellent tension, preys on tendencies we already have around cancel culture and hashtags, and spins it on its head black mirror style. Loved this. great audio description regarding the bees too.

Twisted Metal- I guess Neve Campbell decided not to return. This show is so campy, and it knows it. That’s a fine line to walk, but at least Will Arnett seems fully able to capture the essence of any scene he’s in. Considering the narrator, this audio description is actually not bad. It isn’t great, but it isn’t bad either. She tends to work with companies that always fall short (like with Revival), but this seems to have more effort put into it.

Furia- The audio description, I didn’t catch the company, but it is either a narrator that is trying to sound AI adjacent or is a TTS voice. The series, however, has hired some excellent dub talent. It’s an interesting series featuring women in different situations. I think it was originally in Spanish. You might also find this labeled Rage.

Ginny and Georgia- A Christmas episode. This clan is extra dramatic around the seasons. Like, Cynthia… girl what are you up to? But, with another baby daddy in the picture, Paul is certainly keeping his chill level. I like Paul. I actually like everyone in the show except Georgia at least on some level.

Foundation- there was a character presenting as human, who isn’t, and drops their human form and reveals their old form. I’d love to say I could remember definitively if they’ve ever done that before, but I don’t think so, so my gut instinct is to say it would have been nice to get some kind of description at all other than the fact they changed. To what?

King Of The hill- if you’re reading this, the revival has been released. 10 episodes in one day.

Art Detectives- I might do a review of this.

Ballard- OMG. I know some people thought I was hard on Untamed, but if what just happened happened, Ballard is getting a rotten from me. Casting. Casting is everything. In this episode, we learn cops are selling guns to cartels, and the one informant mentions a white guy named Montana. That guy is not who it could have been, but when you have a character actor playing Ballards partner, who quite literally has to run away from the case because of ‘doggie day care”, and that actor routinely plays bad guys, that’s so lazy. If I was Renee Ballard, even i would have clocked the timing.

Sherlock and Daughter- I do really enjoy this Sherlock. It’s David Thewlis, who has been a solid British character actor for years, and he’s just killing this role. i wish it had audio description.

Say Something!
