House Of The Dragon- Connor DeWolfe is writing, in my humblest of opinions, the best AD at the moment, for a currently running series. There’s so much detail being pulled out of a broad ensemble, and being brought to life. This week, a major death kicks off the episode, and debatably it also ends on one. Nearly every character gets at least a scene, as even brief moments advancing stories for Aegon and Aemond, a dash of Rayna, a nod to Hugh, a sprinkle of Corliss, a wink and a nod to Adam and Alan, and a tip to Olf. Basically, everyone had something. When this is done, I’m going to miss the interstitials where my Queen shouts “Bring the usurper to me!”

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed- The last episode ended on a big spoiler, so the show is now hard to discuss, and I don’t want to assume everyone reading is caught up. However, we see there’s even more mystery behind the bad guys, and Paula finds herself kinda screwed at the end. We’ll see if she can get out of it. The AD here was great, because she keeps hallucinating someone who no longer has a face, and that’s all I’ve got in this spoiler-light recap.

Million Dollar Secret- I’m fine with the winner. The final three really have a random and equal shot at getting it depending on the box being moved around. I like the series, and I hope Netflix continues it. I think it can be their version of The Traitors if they play their cards right. The audio description here is just enough to be good, especially for the format. Compare this to Top Chef, and there’s more description here.

Ted- The series finale. I’ll probably review it. Definitely no season 3, as Seth Macfarlane has said he has no plans, and the series ends tying the series to the films. The finale was kinda fun, though nothing tops McFarlane having Ted sing the theme to The Adventures Of The Gummi Bears all the way through in another episode. That’s when I knew, Seth and I would be the best of friends. The AD here for some reason is Vito, again, and I blacked out from putting my head through a wall. But, even comparing Vito to Vito, there’s more description here than Abbott Elementary. Even if I’m bored by him, it still comes down to the writer.

Stranger Things: Tales From 85- I can’t wait for this to be over. There’s another season coming, because of course there is. The gang realizes Nicky’s mom is the problem, even if she doesn’t know it. The AD here is solid though, and I can’t fault it.

Last Week Tonight- John Oliver is back, and he breaks down how Trump went from calling Crypto a scam to making billions from it. And yes, as is with everything Trump has ever done, there’s a recording of him contradicting himself, and talking about how he thinks we should be investing in the American dollar, not BitCoin, because it is probably a scam. And that clip was five years old. My, how times have changed.

Breaking Bad- If you want to know where I am… I am the one who knocks. Enough said. I did realize there’s a bunch of Spanish in this episode that isn’t translated, so for once, this track doesn’t earn my praise.

Best AD Track: house Of The Dragon- I just told you I thought it was the best currently on any network or streaming service, so this shouldn’t be a surprise. I’ll toss an honorable mention to Stranger Things: Tales From 85 just because it landed on the same day as the Game Of Thrones spinoff, and the AD is really good.

Worst AD: Last Week adds it later, I’m just impatient. I mean, this has to be Ted. Even though it is one of Vito’s better tracks, that’s like saying I have less food poisoning this time. It still misses sight gags, like the broadcast they slap together, where their actor I think is making out with himself, but there’s no real description to give it context. So, Breaking Bad is spared the shame.
