My Emmy Dream Picks: Best Actor In A Comedy Series

Here are my (albeit unconventional) picks for Best Actor in a Comedy for the upcoming Emmy awards. This isn’t who I think will be nominated, but rather who I would be nominating (my wish list). Joel McHale (Community) Don’t you think it’s about time that Joel McHale be recognized for being the centerpiece of a terrific ensemble and one of the funniest shows on TV? I do. Matthew Perry (Go On) I realize this is not happening. I’ve come to terms with this. But, what better way to let NBC know they made a mistake in cancelling this show (which … Continue reading My Emmy Dream Picks: Best Actor In A Comedy Series

Dan Harmon returning to ‘Community’

According to Dan Harmon himself, via his Twitter, he will be returning to Community, and according to the studio, final deals are just being smoothed out. This is great news for fans of the show, who may have felt the show lacked in quality last season without Dan at the helm. Interestingly, in his tweet, he said for fans to thank Joel McHale. Did Joel throw his star power around and get Dan rehired? I would think that there is no “throwing around” for a show that just barely got renewed. Emmy Wish List: Best Comedy Series

1) Community If you rolled your eyes, you’re probably a Community-purist, which is OK. You probably thought that a non-Dan Harmon Community is blasphemy, and you hated the fourth season. Me? I couldn’t tell the difference. I thought there were some terrific episodes this season, like the Christmas episode, or the season finale. A nomination for Happy Endings would be “ah-mah-zing” as our … Continue reading Emmy Wish List: Best Comedy Series

Dan Harmon Returning To Community?

The latest buzz on the internet is that Dan Harmon has been asked back to Community, after being unceremoniously let go at the end of Season 3, due to a dispute with star Chevy Chase. Now that Chase has exited the series, Harmon no longer has any mortal enemies in the production, and is safe to return. Harmon discussed the possibility of this return on his latest podcast of Harmontown. This could be a nice shot in the arm for the struggling sitcom, whose fans sat through an OK (but not as good as the last three seasons) season. Continue reading Dan Harmon Returning To Community?
