John Stark

Of course, that means Abbott Elementary (ABC/Hulu), which Disney has apparently just decided to throw down the tubes this season for blind people. If ABC wanted to experiment with whaat seems to be AI generated audio description on every level, perhaps start with not your number one show. Just a thought. Over on Will Trent (ABC/Hulu), this show did have audio description, but it really felt lacking … Continue reading The Small Screen Diaries- 02/29/24

Forbes 2013 100 Most Powerful Women- The Hollywooders

John Stark

Forbes released the list of the 100 most powerful women, and some names popped up from Hollywood. Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Angelina Jolie, Sofia Vergara, Amy Pascal (Sony), Lady Gaga, Anne Sweeney (Disney/ABC), Shakira, Diane Sawyer, JK Rowling, and Beyonce Knowles all made the cut. I’m a little surprised about Sofia and Shakira, but most lists like this are always semi-arbitrary. Here’s the full list: Angela Merkel, Chancellor, Germany Dilma Rousseff, President, Brazil Melinda Gates, Cochair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Michelle Obama, First Lady, United States Hillary Clinton, Personality, Philanthropist Sheryl Sandberg, COO, Facebook Christine Lagarde, Managing Director, International … Continue reading Forbes 2013 100 Most Powerful Women- The Hollywooders
