Tubi really does have some deep cuts in terms of shows they have that are no longer on the air. Check out what I found in the rankings below.
8) Name That Tune (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Not Yet Renewed
Megan Hilty! That’s really all I needed. I wish the show skewed in her favor, and she had to guess something like Secondhand White Baby Grand from Smash. It didn’t happen.
Episode Grade: B
7) 911 (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Moved To ABC
This episode, S4E2, featured a catastrophe that kinda needed audio description, but once the catastrophe is over, it became standard rescue protocol. Except… Angela Bassett’s Athena might be in danger!
Episode Grade: B
6) Tiny Toons Looniversity (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Unknown
I’m still mostly enjoying this reboot, except for how it’s not really using anyone outside the main cast for anything but cameos. We got to see Fifi, but she doesn’t really do anything, and we have yet to run into Montana Max, though there was a Dizzy reference. I loved all my toons, and I need them all back, not just the few who are leads.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Ahsoka (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet renewed
In the penultimate Season 1 episode, Ahsoka does some…. Is that C3PO? I mean, do we need to talk about anything else? Isn’t that the point of having these cameos like Hayden Christensen and now C3PO? Fan service. Sure, there’s a jedi battle, but a golden robot is about to put a Senator in his place. that’s far more interesting.
Episode Grade: B+
4) The Lost Flowers Of Alice Heart (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited
Alice gets a job. June is dying of cancer. Candy wants June to see her, so she washes the blue out of her hair. Twig goes to visit the grandson she thought was dead. How will this show wrap up? Who knows!
Episode Grade: A-
3) Archer (hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
Good Barry is now inside a wifi enabled fridge, and evil Barry is also apparently alive, and must be stopped.
Episode Grade: A
2) Found (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
A very strong pilot with a strong sense of identity. A private group (vigilantes?) are hired to find kidnapped children, but this group is comprised largely of people who were kidnapped and found. Or people still looking for their own. Mark Paul Gosslear works into this show in a very intriguing way, especially in terms of long term prospects. If you liked Sound Of Freedom, Found should be your new jam. Rescuing someone every episode?
Episode Grade: A
1) The critic (Tubi)
English Audio Description?: NoS
Status: Ended
now, this doesn’t have audio description, and never will. But I nearly died when I saw this was listed on Tubi, which has some really surprising shows on here. I remember this Jon Lovitz voiced Animated sitcom from back in the day, and as someone who wanted to be a critic, this was so my jam as a kid. The jokes are dated, but still funny.I’m so glad I found this, and I put this on top because I needed everyone to know, if you are like me and thought this was cancelled too soon… Tubi has it.
