The Too Much TV Roundup- 11/03/23

Well, I suppose the studios weren’t ready to accept SAG’s proposal, so they sent back a counter. Honestly, these companies needing to win this AI battle is pissing me off. Stop trying to own a person’s likeness, especially without informed consent, and certainly not in perpetuity. Also, the new trailer for Echo dropped, and it’s going to be TV-MA.

7) Sex Education (Netflix)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Final Season

I feel so disconnected to what this season seems to want. Especially Eric’s storyline.I miss how close he and Otis were. I’m not sure what’s up with Adam. And I think it’s a misguided choice for Otis to try and win a vote war against the other therapist. I really loved this show once, and now? I feel like we didn’t need this season.

Episode Grade: B

5) Tiny Toons Looniversity (MAX)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Unknown

The Tiny Toons battle against Aqua Loo in a Prank war, where Babs and Buster don’t let any of their friends ideas happen, until they realize that teamwork makes the dream work. A bit more screentime for Dizzy is making me happy that we are focusing more on all the Toons instead of this preselected handful.

Episode Grade: B+

4) South Park: The panderverse

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: TV Special

If you thought you had a bad week, you were not Kathleen Kennedy, whose name was dropped so many times during this episode, I can’t even imagine what’s going on in her head. Basically, the South Park kids go after Disney making everything diverse and also just remaking the same thing over and over, while also letting the adults make fun of how no one knows how to do anything anymore because we have become too reliant on technology.I would totally watch Black South Park by the way. At least a little more of it. I wanted to keep seeing the differences.

Episode Grade: A-

3) Deadlocked (Paramount Plus)

English Audio Description?: Yes

Status: Limited

This docuseries wraps with a look at the court, and how we got to a level of public trust that is critically low. The final episode is basically just the years from Merrick Garland’s nomination til the present. I enjoyed this series, and felt like i learned more, especially in the first two episodes that mostly highlighted courts before my time.

Episode Grade: A
