Woke up to the tributes pouring in for Andre Braugher, who passed away at the age of just 61. He was such a brilliant actor, who could handle drama and comedy. I’m not going to lie and talk about how his performance on Homicide changed my life. I was young, and I never watched Homicide (or NYPD Blue for that matter). I think my favorite performance of his is as the Captain on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as the seemingly normal one, who as you continued on with the series learned more and more about how eclectic he really was to match the rest of his squad. More recently, he was a fantastic addition to the final season of The Good Fight. RIP.

Clearly trying to be the new Sex education, Mia wakes up finding out she has had sex, and now she doesn’t know if that means she’s in a relationship. 2) Monarch (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
I kind of have to agree with our leads. Even though the agents of Monarch keep saying things about how they won’t be in trouble, and they aren’t there to hurt them, they are really not giving off a warm vibe. And hey, Kurt Russell!
Episode Grade: B+
3) Pain Killer (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited
What a sobering end to this nightmare. Spoiler: the killer doesn’t get caught. Although, the man they have suggested the entire series most likely did it, turns out he passed recently. So, no justice, but also I guess he can’t put another torso in his attic.

4) Young Love (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet renewed
Mom is left in charge of the salon, Dad is off to record with real musicians, and their daughter is starting a coffee cake revolution. Everyone is being a boss in this episode, but they all need the important life lesson of what level of bosss they need to be.

5) 911 (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Renewed
I’m still in Season 4, and while these episodes are mostly really hard to get through, I’ve been slacking and I need to get caught up before the new season premieres in the spring, and likely had audio description on its new home.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
6) Justified (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
I started trying to finish this before I could watch City Primeval, which also has audio description. So, even though this does not, I need to try and get through this so the new limited series can give me the best possible experience. Although, it would be nice if this had audio description.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
7) The Guilded Age (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
God love these narrators. This has such a huge cast, I feel like someone strolls in every episode that I don’t remember who they are, or why I should know them. Without audio description constantly giving me names, I’d only ever recognize a few voices, and thiss would be totally a waste.
Episode Grade: B
8) The Office (Peacock)
English Audio Descritpion?: No
Status: Ended
It’s a bit easier with a show I’ve seen before. This is the one where someone left something awful in Michael’s office, so he spends the episode complaining about it, and we don’t know who did it until the end.
Episode Grade: B+
9) Frasier (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed?
This is the new series. Frasier wants to be a Professor and not just a Doctor, and spends the episode having to go through comically obvious jokes. I know the reaction on the revival is mixed, but I think this might be my least favorite episode thus far.
Episode Grade: B-
10) The Critic (Tubi)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
Would I love to have audio description on this criminally underrated short-lived animated sitcom from the 90’s? Sure. But I also love that shit like this even exists in a digital world, as it’s more likely for a crappy film no one saw with a cast no one has ever heard of to be available somewhere, then short lived shows. This isn’t even a one season wonder. It shouldn’t be that hard to find gems like this.
