TV Shows watched: outlander: Blood of My Blood: S1E9 (Starz) no audio description, House Of Guinness: S1E2 (Netflix) with audio description, English teacher: S2E1 (Hulu) with audio description, Rick and Morty: S8E3 (HBO MAX) with audio description, Dexter: S6E4 (Paramount Plus) with audio description, Pop culture Jeopardy: Last Quarterfinal (Amazon) with audio description, The Rainmaker: S1E4 (Peacock) with audio description, and South Park: Season 27E4 (Paramount Plus) no audio description yet
Outlander: Blood Of My Blood- The main four characters are once again in the same location, and there are a bunch of other Scottish people around doing things I’m struggling to follow because Starz is bound and determined to never provide audio description for their programming.
House Of Guinness- the will is read, fates are sealed, and one man sets out to find out who opened the gate. relatively interesting. The audio description is fine.
Rick And Morty- The audio description here is really solid. We had to wait a hot minute for this to get to HBO MAX from Adult swim, but when it did, it landed with some nice complimentary audio description that understands the assignment.
English Teacher- I love this show. I don’t think I’m supposed to. I know there was some stuff that was floating around on the internet about Brian Jordan Alvarez, but I also don’t see it nearly as prominently as other celebrities. So, I feel confident in still saying I love this show, and watching the students turn Angels In America into covid In America was hilarious. I’m glad this is back. I really thought Alvarez had a shot at an Emmy surprise since FX is good at campaigning, but I guess not.
dexter- Season 6 of dexter is not as good as Season 1 of Dexter Resurrection, which I posted a review of yesterday. Yes. I used this little blurb recap as a promo.
Pop Culture Jeopardy- I support Roundabout being allowed to do more game shows. I’m shocked at how many episodes there are of this. Heading into the semi finals. I’m guessing there are three of those, then the finals. Sometimes the finals require more than one win, so I’m not sure if I’m down to the last 4 episodes, or a few more. but I’m close.
The Rainmaker- It’s not great, but it isn’t bad. It has its own vibe, which is different from the kinds of shows USA used to air. it is also a lot darker than the film with Matt Damon.
South Park- I’m afraid he may lose his freedom of speech. I laughed so many times. Brendan Carr was decimated here. And the end was perfect. I wish someone just like Sheila would go and yell at “the person responsible”. Sheila would get shit done.
