Well, NBC has opted to not renew American Auto after all. Looks like a solid victim of the writers strike, as they needed to either extend contracts at the end of the month, or cancel. Well, talk about yesterday being a slow news day. Like, nothing major or earth shattering happened. It was just a regular day. I’m not sure there’s a ton of TV news, aside from the fact that the DGA signed a new contract, leaving the WGA and SAG as being the two still left. This proves that shows can still be picked up during the writers strike, so I’d love it if ABC could go ahead and pick up Home Economics (and make Casey Wilson a series regular), and NBC can pick up American Auto. Yesterday provided ample TV news. NBC announced their fall lineup, which included a Season 2 renewal for Lopez V Lopez, and has left its remaining sitcoms (American Auto, Young Rock, and Grand Crew) on the bubble. NBC also surprisingly revived Transplant with a 2 season order (since the series comes from Canada), and pushed LaBrea’s tiny third (and likely final) season to mid season. A slow Saturday, but I still managed four shows and a movie. Here’s how those four shows laid out. 4) Little Demon (FXX/Hulu) English Audio Description?: no I think the most frustrating thing about this show isn’t the content, which I’m sure turned away viewers, it’s that because FX slacks on AD, or Hulu refuses to use it (who knows), this show doesn’t have it. My shortest list of the week so far, but I did manage a movie, and a live theatre event. So, that’s where my time went. 5) Maggie (Hulu) English Audio Description?: Yes I really thought Hulu was going 10 episodes on this like they usually do, so I was surprised to see we are plowing past episode 10. I managed six shows today, one less than the past few days. I blame HBo MAX, at least in part, for me having to spend an irrational amount of time exploring why I can’t sign in only on my iOS app, but my Roku version is rocking it. So weird. Just another day sliding through episodes of TV shows. 1) The Rings Of power (Amazon) English Audio Description?: Yes in the 6th episode, we focused primarily on one topic, which meant we didn’t even visit certain storylines. The refugees were about to go into battle with the orcs, who are being led by an Elf that has felt the dark side.
