Big TV News? Knock At The Cabin is coming to Peacock next week. Maybe that counts? Saturdays are not known for being big news days.
8) The Bad batch (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I think, I’m not really into this series anymore. i feel like I’m trying to force myself through this season, but truthfully, The mandalorian is making me realize what it is I actually want out of a Star Wars show. Running these two on top of each other is a mistake. I don’t know that I’ll finish the season.

7) 1923 (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Finally finished this. Gotta say, I really don’t care about Season 2. They don’t use Mirren and Ford enough, they veer into other territory, and the writing sucks. There’s a scene in this episode, which takes place in 1923, where Timothy Dalton’s villain gives a big speech about generational wealth, which is probably not a 1923 conversation. That’s a 2023 conversation. There was one later about the history lesson of more people living in cities, and he knew all the statistics about cars, and I felt like I was lost in an episode of Dora The Explorer. Why does Timothy Dalton have long monologues trying to educate the audience? Then there’s that fight in open court? The guy accused of trying to kill someone threatens to do so right in front of the judge? What are we doing here? this is not Yellowstone. Taylor Sheridan needs to pay better attention to the shit being produced under his name.

6) A Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Figured I’d give this show a chance. I didn’t need to see Stanley Tucci find Italy, I wasn’t that impressed with Zac Efron discovering Australia, and watching Eugene Levy trying to ice fish isn’t as fun as you would think.

5) Top Chef (Bravo/Peacock)
English Audio Description?: no
Sadly, the Emmy winning series in its 20th season has no audio description, despite the massive appeal not just because it’s an All Stars edition, but a World All Stars edition, and even though I have a really hard time following this at the beginning, I have watched every season of Top Chef, and just like the other things I loved when I could see, I’m gonna try and slog my way through this. I’m a week behind, but I still won’t spoil the first elimination, except to say I 100% agree with the why. That chef would have also been my choice for elimination, and I didn’t need to taste their food.

4) Anamaniacs (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I don’t know why hulu is breaking my heart by doing 3 and done with this reboot. It’s not just another door closed on the Warner siblings, but Pinky and the Brain. What are we going to do tonight? I don’t know. Because they cancelled Anamaniacs.

3) Extraordinary (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Fantastic end to this episode, as two friends fight, and Jen realizes she might be a garbage person. honestly, Jen, that’s what turned me off in the first episode, is that the lead is kind of an ass, but after sticking with this show, I’m still glad I did.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Truth Be Told (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
poppy gets closer to the Truth being told, and bringing girls home. However, it was the end of this episode that blew my mind. There’s a moment right at the end, with Marcus, which I can’t spoil, that made me hate the whole world. Like, are you fucking kidding me? The audacity. The *audacity*.
Episode Grade: A
1) Poker Face (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
you know what? I’m happy Russian Doll is dead. I ahve a feeling Natasha Lyonne couldn’t do both, and as much as i enjoyed Russian Doll, I think that show finished it’s core story, and poker Face is one of the best things to happen to TV this year. Seeing Tim Meadows in something that doesn’t suck is such a rarity these days.
