Well, CBS picked up the dramas I predicted, Matlock and Elzabeth as well as the Wayans family sitcom. Also, The CW renewed Walker, but cancelled Walker independence. They are really falling apart.

Episode 4 revolves around “keeping it casual”, and I guess the more i spend with these leads, the more I’m starting to care about them? but, like barely. There was a fun song in Episode 4 where a children’s novelist sang a rather interesting musical number. i think I had been comparing this to Zoey’s Extraordinary playlist, but it’s more clear to me now that this is closer to Crazy Ex Girlfriend.

Well, there goes the budget. Episode 7 is balls to the wall. This is the episode where they throw down the gauntlet, the rules don’t apply, and they punch their audience into submission. It technically is the most epic episode thus far, with characters getting killed off in this massive battle left and right. however, there were characters who died that I couldn’t even remember their significance. So that goes back to the previous episodes, and how the storytelling could have balanced itself better. But this thing where suddenly Mal is important is making the show better. It’s oddly turning around for me in the final episodes.

7) Perry Mason (HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes

Mason wraps up his case, in the best way possible, which doesn’t always mean some triumph ofthe spirit. It’s a much better deal than before, but still. That being said, a lot of this episode focused on the aftermath, wrapping up personal storylines, almost like they didn’t think there would be a season 3. I can’t see HBO dumping this, but stranger things have happened.

6) Friends (HBo MAX)

The episode that introduces Richard (Tom Selleck), while also continuing to advance Ross and Rachel. Selleck really was a great moment for the series, and played the suave older man for Monica quite well.

5) The Great North (FOX/Hulu)

Beef has a problem with Fish In A Barrell, which is a fish vending machine. Judy didn’t sound like Judy this episode for some reason, but I also didn’t care about her B-plot. I was so transfixed by the idea that people were buying fish from a vending machine… in Alaska. Like, of all the states… Alaska? Go get ‘‘em Beef!

Dorothy has a gambling problem. Blanche went out on a date with someone who asked her to put her clothes back on.

Night one has Andrew in the lead, which is hilarious since I think he was a wildcard for the Tournament of Champions. On an audio description note, I know Ken was talking, but the only thing the audio description really does is reveal where the Daily Doubles are. That’s basically it. So, in the second game, for double Jeopardy, when it didn’t do that… I assumed the narrator fell asleep. There’s almost no audio description, so it’s pretty noticeable.

2) The Ark (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed For Season 2
While the acting is very hit or miss, the plot is great. I believed the Ark 15 was doomed. But, the episode turned things around, and everything could be interesting from now on. Even more so. This has been quite a sleeper hit for me, gradually pulling me in more and more each week.

We didn’t even bother to discuss what Simon heard the other teacher and principal talking about. it was like that didn’t happen. instead, we had a seance that might have allowed someone to cross over. However, there’s a statement about how”that didn’t happen when Janet crossed over”, and there were hints about doing hypnotizing and how another spirit could enter your body. I think the counselor is super shady, and if he doesn’t turn out to be in some nefarious plot, I’d be shocked. but, this show is determined to make everyone seem like they killed Maddie, so now we have a whole episode devoted to her best friend being the potential killer, which is insane. in a previous episode, we saw her run to an abandoned factory by herself calling out Maddie’s name, and you wouldn’t do that if you were the killer. You would know someone was dead, and where you buried them. But, then at the end of the episode, Maddie thinks she finall has figured out her killer, and of course it’s someone we haven’t thought of yet. Because everyone is guilty.
