Hulu is on a cancellation spree. After axing The Great, the drop came for How I Met Your Father which has been cancelled after two seasons.

In Anthony Jr., Anthony is told he has a son. Oddly enough, until now, I thought his character was gay. Or, at least the equivalent of the time period when having gay characters on TV meant they never really talked about it. Also, what actually happened to Delta Burke’s career? I feel like she should have had more sitcoms after this, and all I remember was her recurring stint on Boston Legal.

After last week’s bizarre episode, now the world thinks David is dead, so when he reappears, it’s his fault for hoaxing everyone I suppose. I wasn’t a fan of this plot.

I know I’m not watching a good show. Every episode is so over melodramatic, and the acting is just cringeworthy sometimes. I actually do like the actress who plays Taylor, and I wish Taylor would leave and go do her own show. This series does have an uncanny ability to end every single episode now with a cliffhanger that demands you watch the next episode.

A little hard to follow this week with the time jumps. I know Don was giving us a ton of backstory on how he acquired his name, and then the firm was trying to decide whether or not to merge, and because Don was on a mission to Cali, he wasn’t there to chime in. Pete is still a piece of shit, and I’m surprised he hasn’t been punched in the face yet. I basically followed what it wanted to tell me, but I was thrown off a lot by the jumping around, not just between characters, but also between past and present.

I’m still in Season 2 y’all. Leela is trying to protect an alien race that is capable of speaking and thinking from being eaten, but things don’t work out well for her. I mean, they do, because it’s a comedy, but she’s in peril for a few seconds. Audio description would have been nice and I would have known what these adorable sounding aliens sounded like.

Of course Michael is going to fire the person we’ve never met. but, in general, the reason this episode is low is lack of audio description. It’s a Halloween themed episode, with everyone dressed up. It would have been nice to have those descriptions of what everyone was wearing.episode Grade: B

While this episode did feature a major wrestling scene, it was also one that had announcers, and they were actually describing mostly what happened in the ring. I liked this episode, mostly because of Jack’s honest approach to parenting. He brings up an excellent example of a time when he was a kid and a bully de-pantsed a girl, before being punched by her brother. In the real world, there aren’t principals. Sometimes, when a girl is sexually assaulted, the one doing the assaulting will get instant retaliation He acknowledged that school wasn’t the place for his son to use his fists, but in a room where everyone seemed to think the world exists in peace, love, and harmony, he also had a rather realistic approach to life. He doesn’t want his son to be a bully or an instigator, but he also knows his son needs to be able to defend himself. This episode is ranked a little bit lower, because something clearly happened to Ace at the end, and I don’t know what… because Starz doesn’t support audio description. At all.Episode Grade: B

5) Everwood (FreeVee)

Keeping in mind that this was an early 2000’s WB show, Everwood took a big swing in its first season with a controversial abortion episode. Remember when Kate Mara was introduced as a piano prodigy a few episodes back, and she was sleeping with her teacher? Turns out, she’s pregnant, and her Dad can’t reach the father he chased out of town. So, what is a girl to do? Lots of talk about this from various viewpoints, with Andy actually not being the most progressive, even though everyone assumes he would be. In the end, Harold performs the procedure, not because he wants to, but because of the horror stories his father told him, and a promise he made to his father. this episode also has a B and C plot that pull away from the much stronger A story, which is why this isn’t being graded higher.

I’m still enjoying the writing. it’s very satirical without being laugh out loud hilarious. The second episode tackles dating and pets. It does both really well.

Harley and Ivy take a romantic getaway to a villain run hotel in Las Vegas, where Clayface has a show. Harley realizes she needs a Bruce Wayne version of her so she can hang out with Ivy, so she creates an alter ego. It’s a pretty over the top violent and funny episode, with some solid references to obscure villains like Ragdoll.

Everyone has something going on, but by far the winner here was Colin Robinson, who runs for Comptroller, and uses his energy vampire powers to full effect. his storyline was hilarious, and only got funnier when he was summoned by the secret order of energy vampires. That scene was brilliant, and so much like how local government runs.Episode Grade: A
