Christmas is almost upon us. Yet, Peacock is holding their premiere of the Focus features Holiday Oscar contender, The Holdovers, until Dec 29th. What’s so weird, is that The Last Voyage Of The Demeter still hasn’t found its way, and neither has Oppenheimer. Barbie is on MAX, when is Oppenheimer coming to Peacock?
1) Sex Education (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
The series finale. It was even super-sized so we could call it Sex Education” The Movie. They wanted to make sure all the characters who made it to this season got a conclusion, and I really appreciated it. Kal had a pretty big central focus, but a lot of supporting characters like Jackson really also had their moments. It wasn’t just an Otis story, in fact, this celebrates how much the show has grown to really feel like an ensemble than just a story about a boy trying to be a sex therapist.A really well done finale that I can’t imagine angered a single fan.
Episode Grade: A+
2) For All Mankind (Apple Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
Danielle has always been my favorite character on the show, but her ignorance this episode to what the helios people were striking over bothered me. She couldn’t see that Helios was actually reducing their pay, and they are the ones who do the shit work. Danielle doesn’t do any shit work, so even if they lowered her pay, I don’t think she’d care. But her inability to empathize with their plight bothered me.I did enjoy the twist at the end though. That was nice. One audio description quandary… it was never mentioned when Miles crossed the line, and he’s a pretty big character to ignore.
Episode Grade: A

I’m glad they worked their way out of that shocking cliffhanger, and I’m interested to see how they wrap this up.
Episode Grade: A-
4) Digman (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Unknown
It’s an alright show. I wonder how much audio description could change my opinion of it. It can be hard to launch adult animation, which really is the thing Comedy Central has always struggled with outside of South Park. They’ve had many shows with short runs, like Drawn Together and Brickleberry but not another runaway smash.
Episode Grade: B-
5) Bosch Legacy (FreeVee)
English Audio Description?: Maybe
Status: Renewed?
I watch through the individual FreeVee app, which makes sense, but the only audio tracks available to me are English, German, and Spanish. I think Amazon is gatekeeping the accessibility for people who stream this through their Prime app, which is just really disappointing. This episode did feature Maddie being able to finally confront her kidnapper, and she gave a great speech.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable on FreeVee
6) Justified (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
Patton Oswald returns and there, of course, are shootout sequences. Which is the problem with almost every episode of this show. I don’t know who is shooting or being shot at, or who gets hit, unless audio description exists.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
