The Sandman- Thanks to the audio description team i have the image in my head of Dream’s head lulling to the side, like when you’re trying to stay awake. The idea that Dream needs sleep amuses me. However, the ending of this is ambiguous enough that depending on what actually happened at the end of it, will determine if I like the episode at all, or even if I continue to like the remainder of the series. I’m assuming we didn’t do what we just did, but if we did… why on earth? I’ll avoid spoilers in case you are still getting through this season. For those who have seen it, it is what Loki does at the end.

The Institute- The new little kid (Avery?) is really powerful. Far more than any of the other kids. I’m also afraid for him, because Stephen King is not afraid of killing off kids. He’s one of the authors most likely to do so, and the adorable little telepath may not be long for this world depending on just how nefarious it all is. Roy’s audio description here was solid. Sadly, our poor door knocker talked to the wrong person at the bar, and it got his conspiracy theorist killed.

The Pitt- Finale. Thank God my boy stepped up. Noah Wyle came in like a wrecking ball, and saved Cassie from being arrested. He later gives some mass casualty numbers, something like 112? I’m all for making a point, but that’s far and away bigger than any of the other mass casualty events we’ve actually had. I’m not sure that number needed to be that high, but I guess it isn’t impossible. This was a good show. I might review it, which is why I went ahead and put something here. It has a nomination for excelence in audio description. It has already reached for the stars.

The Summer I Turned Pretty- I’d like to tell you something happened in this episode other than people breaking up, talking about breaking up, talking about making up, talking about why their relationship did or didn’t work, but that’s basically the whole shebang. Something does happen with Steven, but it is still just a part of the larger break up/make up fuel. what is the actual plot of season three? Bellie goes to Paris?

DigMan- Decided to jump back into this Andy Samberg animated comedy that is trying to launch following South Park. Almost every animated show that isn’t South Park runs 3 or 4 seasons max. Their best bet is the Beavis and Butthead revival. This is likely going to go the way of Brickleberry.

Breaking Bad- Jesse goes after the tweakers who stole his product and his money, to less than desirable results. Meanwhile, Walt is almost exposed, when Gretchen reaches out, and could have easily revealed Walt was lying. She doesn’t, he’s a bit indignant about the whole thing, even when she could still blow up his life, and I’m surprised she doesn’t. I liked Jesse’s storyline more, because it rounds him out better as a character, allowing him to interact with a kid, and show he does have far more kindness and common sense than anyone gives him credit for.

Say Something!
