The Too Much TV Roundup- May 21st

Yesterday, I watched quite a bit of non-described programming with my mom, who tries her best to let me know what’s happening. But, there’s a very small overlap in the Venn Diagram of shows we both enjoy. Here are my rankings from yesterday. 1) Hacks (HBO MAX) English Audio Description Available?: Yes Kicking off Season 2 officially, this series is just as hilarious as ever, and jean smart is living the role of her lifetime. Hopefully, this show wil stay on as long as the writing is good. Episode Grade: A 2) The Marvelous Ms Maisel (Amazon) English Audio Description … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 21st

The Too Much TV Roundup- May 20th

Yet another great day in television. I haven’t even started to watch Heartstopper, and it has already been picked up for seasons 2 and 3. It didn’t even need my help to survive. Of course, there are dozens of shows I’ve never watched, that keep getting renewed. You can’t watch everything. 1) The Last Days Of Ptolemy Gray (Apple Plus) English Audio Description Available?: Yes third episode in, and I keep getting more invested, and more hooked in this terrific Apple limited that features an amazing performance by Samuel l jackson. If you didn’t get a chance to check it … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 20th

The Tinder Swindler

Documentary Directed By: Felicity Morris Where I Watched It: Netflix English Audio Description Available?: Yes Description Provided By X Trax Narration Written By: Maury Morrison Narrated By: Thomas Reid Special Note: I wrote this review, and have decided to leave it as is because of the schadenfreude factor for my beloved readers. Yes, I always thought my screen reader was saying the word “Tender”, and not “Tinder” and at no point did that seem odd to me, like I needed to check my spelling. Because, the guy is being tender… in his seducing these women. So that made sense. But, … Continue reading The Tinder Swindler

The Too Much TV Roundup- May 17th

Welcome back to some quick rankings and reviews of the shows I’m watching, and where they are landing on my list.As always, those without audio description will be noted. 1) The Rookie (ABC/Hulu) English Audio Description Available?: Yes I love the guy that does the narration for this. I don’t know who it is because what’s listed at the very beginning sound like two corporations, and not a guy. But whoever he is, he has made this season of The Rookie so entertaining. He reads everything with a level of excitement that makes you feel like you’re watching a show … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 17th

Our Father

Documentary Directed By: Lucy Jordan Where i Watched It: Netflix English Audio Description Available?: Yes Description provided By: international Digital Center Narrated By: Brian The Plot: A Blumhouse production, the film follows a group of adults who slowly realize, through the advent of DNA sites like Ancestry and 23 and me, that the fathers they all grew up with is not their father. The Too Much TV Roundup- May 16th

Despite actually having to work at my job yesterday (Yes, i still have one of those), I still managed to knock out a fair amount of programming. Who earned the top spot from this random assortment? 1) Bridgerton (Netflix) English Audio Description Available?: Yes You know, i never quite commend Bridgerton for all the great audio description, but this is top notch. Lots of comments about heaving bosoms, which when you think about how many watch this program for the escapist romantic entanglements, makes a certain kind of description really appropriate. Plus, with such a wide ensemble, I somehow never … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 16th

The Too Much TV Roundup- May 13th

Actually, I’m trying to make sure I actually remember everything I actually watched yesterday. it was a lot, and I didn’t write anything down, because I thought my memory could sustain a 24 hour period. I think this is it. I think. 1) Better Call Saul (AMC/Netflix) English Audio Description: On Netflix I’m actually catching up still on Season 5, since Netflix and AMC in their infinite wisdom waited until right before Season 6 dropped to release Season 5 on Netflix. Frustrating, I know, but this show doesn’t run with audio description on AMC, so perhaps, I’ll just wait for … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 13th

The Too Much TV Roundup- May 12th

I did squeez in a movie in and around all of these TV shows. On a side note, yesterday was a brutal red wedding for TV shows (and decisions still need to be made by ABC and fOX). CBS has said goodbye to Magnum PI, The United States Of Al, Be Positive, How We Roll, and Good Sam. (If I could save one of those five, it would be The United States of Al, though CBS is cutting back on comedies altogether, ordering no new sitcoms, and returning next year with just the four returnees). NBC cancelled The Endgame, Mr … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 12th

The Too Much TV Roundup- May 11th

I’m starting to enjoy this new format, as it gives me more of an opportunity to have collected thoughts on what I just watched the previous day. Time to reveal just how much television I actually watch. 1) Mr Mayor (NBC/Peacock/Hulu) English Audio Description Available?: Depending on the platform. This is why I like the new format, because it gives me an opportunity to talk about a show I might not have otherwise singled out. But the 9th episode of this shows 2nd Season was hilarious. Spending so much time on jokes about how young people don’t know what mail … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- May 11th

The Too Much TV- Monday May 9th

Because it’s becoming a bit insane to try and track all of the television I watch, and come up with a list of 10 shows, here’s everything I watched yesterday, ranked in order of best to worst, or favorite to least favorite. You now get the whole picture. 1) Severance (Apple Plus) English Audio Description Available?: Yes So, I had mentioned the last time I listed this show, I was one episode from the finale. Now it’s done, it’s behind me, and my mind in blown. I can’t wait for Season 2. This show is highly addictive, and gets better … Continue reading The Too Much TV- Monday May 9th

‘Raising Deon’ Cut Short At Netflix

After a two season run, with a pronounced sabbatical between Seasons 1 and 2 due to Covid filming, Raising Deon was unceremoniously axed by Netflix, without a resolution to the storyline. Unlike Wu Assassins, which got a movie, there are currently no plans to move forward with anything that would see Deon get his final shot to put the Crooked man to bed once and for all. And all of this happened when the show was just getting good. We saw how Deon and his friends continued to operate as a mini Justice League, Deon got a new mentor in … Continue reading ‘Raising Deon’ Cut Short At Netflix
