There seems to be a need for lots of sight gags, and without sight, I feel like I’m missing out.

There’s a reference here to Clarissa and Sam going to a Nirvana concert, and Clarissa remarking on how she may never get to see them again. Apparently, Clarissa is a prophet.

Charlie’s a bit too nice to his parents, who are slightly draconian and out of touch in their punishment threats. It takes me out of a series when the parents get away with dumb shit. 99% of the rest of the population would have at least had an argument, but Charlie is just accepting of whatever his parents shit on him. Otherwise, good episode, and nice scenes with Nick’s brother. Also, Olivia Coleman!

After making it all the way through Season 2, I do not understand how this is a comedy. This is one of the strongest dramas I’ve watched this year, with some terrific performances. The season finale did not disappoint. Season 2 totally turned Ritchie around for me, and Jamie Lee Curtis was fantastic in her minimal screen time. Seriously, there are shows that are actually funny, and the Bear should be running in Drama. What is it afraid of?
