The Dancing With The Stars drama is getting real. A quick update for those who are out of the loop. Dancing With The Stars currently has its contestants in rehearsal for the upcoming season. The WGA has been picketing these rehearsals, and putting pressure specifically on SAG members Alyson Hannigan, Mira Sorvino, and Matt Walsh. The pressure was enough that ABC is mulling pushing back the premiere, as Walsh has caved and paused his participation with the show. However! Turns out, SAG is the honey badger in this scenario, and they told the WGA “We give zero fucks what you think.” And endorsed the appearance of these three actors on Dancing With The Stars as saying it does not violate their current strike protocol. So, what does Walsh do now? Does he cave to the guild he is not a member of, or follow the instruction of the guild he is? I feel like this will be far more interesting than anything that will actually happen on the show.
11) Justified (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Revival Ended A Few Weeks Ago
Still near the beginning of Season 4, and we once again have a shooting. I’m not sure who shot, but it eventually became clear as to who died. That’s the frustrating thing is hoping the dialogue within the episode will make up for the lack of audio description by telling me what’s happening. The constant location changes and gun fights, not to mention a sprawling cast have made this one of the less enjoyable watches of a show that is probably much better.
Episode Grade: unwatchable
10) Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
God, I wanted to grade this episode so bad, because it’s the episode where Spike is first introduced, and he instantly feels like a shot in the arm. But, there are several fight scenes, an attack on a school, some unimportant character deaths, all without audio description. But there are also plenty of moments where little things make the difference, like Buffy creeping down the hallway with someone she thinks is her friend but actually is someone who was turned, as well as Spike’s big move at the end to stake his claim in this territory.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
9) Outlander (Starz)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Final Season
I definitely had a thought, when one character was being threatened by another, that this is the 1700’s, and it just can’t be that hard to kill someone threatening you and successfully hide the body as if it was never there. People do it today, and there are cameras everywhere, and digital footprints. You’re telling me a house in the middle of nowhere and some guy walking up to it can’t be resolved quickly after threats of future harm are made? Honestly, I probably would have downvoted this episode even more for wasting my time with that house explosion in the previous episode, and everyone being fine. What a waste.
Episode Grade: Unwatchable
8) Doug (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
Doug spends all his money on a video game and can’t buy Patty a present, so he has to make her one. It’s a good thing, since everyone else got her the exact same gift, so Doug’s was different. Then, Doug assumes everyone is a zombie because they are hanging out at Roger’s house, so he imagines he is QuailMan.

7) 8 Simple Rules ( Disney Plus)

My school actually had dolls like babies that could tell if they were being fed and changed, and Bridget’s school can only afford bags of flour? i feel like this episode was way more about poverty. but, having flour allowed everyone to keep using the flour to bake, and the baby kept shrinking. An oddly funny episode.
episode Grade: B+
6) Ugly Betty (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
There’s a mystery brewing, but in the meantime, Betty lands a celeb for the December issue because he’s from the same neighborhood as her, but when that celeb requests she be present at the meeting, she tries to get a makeover, which doesn’t go over well, leaving her with more unresolved self esteem issues. I followed most of this, except the makeover part would have been great to have audio description. The Mode staff make it clear that her makeover didn’t work for them, but still. #DescribeEverything

5) The Wheel Of Time (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Renewed
Lots of stuff happening for our group as they are spread out all over. And, shady characters are still very shady. I’m not sure though that any particular scene stood out to me. There was just an effort to advance everyone’s story. Character building.

Tom goes to a gender reveal party to find out that it’s really a father reveal party, that leaves him in a hot air balloon in the lake being blamed for pollution, so he plants trees, and later a statue. That’s a lot. The other part is about Tom making a dog into an emotional support animal.
