Did you watch any programming themed for Veteran’s Day yesterday? Or, were you like me, just catching up?
11) Hey Dude (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: no
Status: Ended
A cringeworthy episode where Ted is tasked with monitoring water usage, and asks his Native American friend Danny if he can do a rain dance. When Danny says he doesn’t know how, Ted says it’s easy and just does one. Later, this 80’s kids comedy does make a point of mentioning that this is offensive, but it also spends more time invested on Danny trying to figure out how to do a rain dance.
Episode Grade: No.
10) The guild es Age (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Unknown
After a two year hiatus, this massive ensemble effort returns, and I don’t remember anything that happened before. Watched this with my Mom who enjoyed the first season, and she couldn’t even get back into it. Even the rather long recap at the front wasn’t coherent enough to really help. It plays more like the greatest hits from Season 1, which is not the intended purpose. Christine Baranski is always great, and this cast is full of Broadway stars. I’d love to really enjoy this, but I’m just not into it right now.

10) Happy Endings (Roku)
English Audio Description?: No

i know this was on Netflix for a while a few years back and i should have rewatched it then… but did it have audio description? Has there ever been audio description for this?
Episode Grade: B
8) Upload (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
Now, while I love this show normally, did I miss something about why our two leads decided to stay at this farm? They don’t really say why they need to be there, and it feels like there are more important things they can be doing than milking cottage cheese out of a cow.
Episode Grade: B
7) The Good Wife (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Spinoff Coming At Midseason
Alicia got the job, and goes out for a traditional celebration with Kalinda (I guess traditions don’t involve anyone else), when she is given what she finds out later is a murder trial. Cary gets a job offer. Peter gets what he wants. And Will is actually veering into a very odd territory, as every conversation with him now is weird.
Episode Grade: B+
6) Our Flag Means Death (MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
The pirate comedy sees the crew on board with the pirate Queen and her new set of rules. Meanwhile, Blackbeard’s ship isn’t going so well either, as their captain seems to slowly be losing his mind. A nice cliffhanger ending for Episode 2.
Episode Grade: B+
5) Everwood (Freevee)
English Audio Description?: No

Ah. The introduction of Madison. Sarah Lancashire’s first episode really lets her character make an impact, which is good since she’ll be around for a while, and a big part of Ephram’s story arc.
Episode Grade: B+
4) Frasier (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Revived
Still going back through the older series, and these random situations are just better written. Desperate to do something amazing as it becomes the new Millennium, the Crane boys head out in their dad’s Winnebago which leads to a comedy of epic errors. The revival wishes it could write an episode like this.

3) The Fall Of The House Of Usher (Netflix)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Limited
It’s the penultimate episode, and there’s one Usher kid left standing, so this is the least surprising episode so far. However, Flanagan really surprises you instead with some shocking and totally random gore.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Goosebumps (Disney Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Not Yet Renewed
The gang is still hoping for news that can shed light on what they are going through. And they may have to just go without the parents, whose misdeeds are shown in flashbacks.

1) Breeders (hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
For a series finale, they worked on tying up loose ends, but not in the kind of way a series finale often does, by offering a finality. Because this is the ending of the show, but not these characters lives. I’ve long beat the drum for this show, wondering why it doesn’t get any Emmy love, and why I seem to be the only one watching. Breeders is simply put one of the best shows ever written and created from start to finish, that takes a sometimes hilarious, sometimes serious look at what it means to raise a family If you aren’t watching, why not?The whole series is now available.
