eyes Of Wakanda- first episode was done well enough. I remember when a Wakanda series was in the works with Danai Gurira attached, and I’m guessing that died, and became this? This is… fine. the audio description is fire. The series seems to be random adventures of Wakandians. I haven’t seen the other three episodes, so i don’t know if they are all Dora Milaje. Not my favorite Marvel show, nor my least favorite.

Leanne- this is cringey. Either the live audience or the canned laughter needs to calm down. I understand we are used to hearing that in a multi cam, but they’re laughing absurdly at things I’m not even sure were intended to be funny. the show is a vehicle for comedienne Leanne Morgan (who I am not familiar with at all), and produced by Chuck Lorre (who doesn’t always make hit shows), and has an initial 20 episode first season. The first episode just made me wonder if this is a sign of the times. with shows like Ransom Canyon, The Waterfront, The Hunting Wives, and now Leanne… are we making a play for red state viewership? All four shows lack LGBTQ presence, all four of them are folksy, featuring rather regular individuals wrapped in some weirdly relatable story. however, I think The Hunting Wives is about to redefine LGBTQ… so maybe not. But this is just a comedy about a southern fried middle aged woman being left by her husband and wondering what to do next. The audio description is fine, but like most multi-cams, it isn’t structured to support robust audio description.

Stick- I intend on doing a full review. So wait for that.

Countdown- Aprt of me feels like I need to force myself to love this more. If I didn’t have so many damn things on right now, I’d start rewatching. i feel like I missed to point, and it hit me halfway through. I approached this as a Jensen Ackles show, but I should have focused on Eric Dane. With his ALS diagnosis, there won’t be too many more performances left of his. I’m now trying to realign my brain to think of this as an Eric Dane show.

Washington Black- I’m starting to feel the episodes stretching just a bit for runtime, which is making me feel this might have worked as an even more limited series a little better. not that this episode doesn’t have great moments, it also starts repeating itself a little. But, still really good audio description.

Match Game- Martin Short is gonna get an Emmy nomination next year for hosting, believe that. He’s hilarious here, and this past season he was the only regular to be nominated for Only Murders In The Building. He’s the perfect host. very quick on his feet.

Breaking Bad-Flynn. We’re calling him Flynn now. I swear, when Walt first says it in the last episode, he says Slim. now I need more people to use this new name so i can hear if it is Flynn or Slim. Otherwise, typically great stuff, Really loved the narration dealing with Hank’s panic attack in the elevator.
