The Too Much TV Roundup- 03/24/23

Just to clarify. Yesterday, I mentioned Alert, and how I bailed due to lack of audio description. I watch “too much TV”, thus the name of the roundup, meaning I rarely get to a show when it drops, unless it’s a big show i make time for like The Mandalorian or Ted Lasso. So, by the time I watched Alert, it wasn’t live, it was from hulu, which does not offer audio description for the title. however, I found out that live airings of that program had audio description. So, there you go. And in today’s news, Grey’s Anatomy was … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 03/24/23

First, condolences to the family of actor Lance Reddick, who passed away yesterday at the age of 60. he was such a recognizable voice in the TV industry, starring on many of your favorite shows. Certainly, fans of the roundup noticed me last praising his work on the unfortunate Resident Evil adaptation on Netflix. Second, if Maggie is now also leaving Grey’s Anatomy, is it stilll Grey’s Anatomy? Would Frasier be Frasier without Frasier? I think not. It’s time to put that show down. I have a fear that suddenly a new Grey that no one knew about will pop … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 03/17/23

The Too Much TV Roundup- 02/28/23

Definitely one of those days where my personal life took a chunk out of the day. But, I did watch a lot of half hour shows to inflate my numbers. So how does this random assortment of TV shows rank up against each other? 6) Velma (HBO MAX) English Audio description?: Yes It was just a pretty solid day, and Velma loses out once more. This was the episode where the band kids turn feral when not fed junk food. I have no idea what the writers were shooting for with that joke. Daphne is also learning more about her … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 02/28/23

Big TV News! ABC is (finally) letting The Goldbergs go at the end of their current season. The show, which has had several cast departures over the years already, will finally get to rest. And in a bit more shocking news, HBO has announced that the upcoming season of Succession will be its last. The showrunner for Succession has always hinted at this show having a limited life cycle, but I’ll admit that this still feels early. But, it’ll be the first time that I don’t call out WBD, because I really do believe this is Jesse Armstrong’s decision. Ozark … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 02/23/23

While I did not see last nights Masked Singer, I did hear about that elimination. I know some people think the show is done and over, but it still manages to draw that level of talent, something that Dancing With The Stars hasn’t been able to do for a while. So, for now, it would seem The Masked Singer can stick around. No reality stars got eliminated this week lol. 6) 6) Night Court (NBC/Peacock) English Audio Description?: Yes While it still sits at the bottom of the list, the third episode of the series had a much needed jolt … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup- 02/15/23

Here’s a roundup of everything I had an opportunity to watch last week, and the top ten shows I want to talk about, or recommend the most. As a reminder, there’s far too much TV for me to watch, so I’m perpetually behind, so some newer series I haven’t even started yet because I’m still trying to clear my list. you may be further behind or ahead of me. But I promise I consume a ton of media. 1) Moon knight (Disney Plus) Audio Description Available?: Yes Once again, moon Knight tops my list of shows I feel the immediate … Continue reading The Too Muchn TV Roundup

The Too Much TV Roundup

Once again, a massive post giving you a glimpse of what I’m watching on TV, because one man doesn’t have the time to watch and review all the content I consume. Netflix: Starting off with a non-recommendation. After three episodes, I gave up on Stay Close. I was really excited for another Netflix adaptation from this author, as I enjoyed The Stranger from two years ago. But, even with the presence of Richard Armitage (who was also in The Stranger), Stay Close has done nothing but push me further away. It’s three and done. I don’t care how this limited … Continue reading The Too Much TV Roundup
