(Netflix) with audio description, Will Trent: S4E16 (Disney Plus) with audio description, Invincible: S4E8 (Amazon) with audio description, The Hawk: S1E4 (netflix) with audio description, and Little House On The Prairie: S1E5 (Netflix) with audio description

Silo- Man, this is hard to describe now without spoilers. So, I’ll just say that it had solid audio description, especially regarding the person with the burns. However, I wish we had a better idea of the expansiveness or lack thereof of critical supply. It was hard to tell how big that room really was from the AD.

Stuart Fails- One of the few shows with a title sequence worth watching. Eli Schiff does a good job narrating, but I feel like there was a missed opportunity to describe the asshole.

Mating Season- A scrappy AD track that tries so hard, but often I’m not even sure what animal is talking. There’s so much happening here.

Will Trent- An end to the Adelaide storyline. Still two episodes left, how do they top that? The AD here was really pretty solid. I don’t have any complaints, given what it needed to accomplish and what it actually did.I’m kind of impressed. This show has come a long way after prioritizing AD.

Invincible- Still excellent AD as Mark reckons with the home he needs to protect and the people he loves. That one dream sequence with his Mom was crazy. Excellent AD.

The Hawk- The most unfunny thing Will Ferrell has done since Holmes and Watson. The AD isn’t helping either. Such a wonderful supporting cast though, and Jimmy Tatro, Molly Shannon, and Fortune Feinster all do the heavy lifting. Ferrell is trying to do something, without leaning too much into Ricky Bobby or Ron Burgundy, but this character has so many of those traits, I wish he had done something totally different, or done a Ricky Bobby/Ron Burgundy series.

Little House On The Prairie- We learn about racism. Laura makes some mean girl friends, and hurts Mary’s feelings, while Emily is not included with the other women, and John returns. Did we wait till this episode to mention Emily was black? Silly show, lovely AD. When Laura opens with the description about the candle in the well, I wasn’t surprised by what Adam does.

Best AD: Invincible- Narrowly over Little House and WIll Trent, oddly both narrated by Roy Samuelson. He had a great day. Invincible has some excellent science fiction action sequences though, as well as balancing emotionally weighty moments.

Worst AD- The Hawk- The writing isn’t terrible, but it isn’t great either, and Vito does nothing with it. The closest contender would be Mating Season, maybe, but that narrator is really engaging with his format. He’s aware he’s doing adult animation that is raunchy and silly, Vito never knows what he’s doing, ro sounds any different doing it.
