X-Men 97- Still synthetic, but in terms of the written context, it was fine. Some of the X-Teams take a back seat, and aren’t mentioned anywhere, but they basically are all now in the same plot line. This episode was fun because it called back to the original series in an iconic episode, where Remy returned home for his brother, and for Bella Donna, and X-Ternal. They’ve already finished shooting Season 3, and are starting to write Season 4 now.

Ted Lasso- Meh. I liked the first episode, for a change of pace, because the Brits came here, and experienced out culture. I think there is far more comedy to be had here, and they made a case for building out the characters where Ted lives. Instead, the family will up and follow him this time to England, so he can coach women’s football AND be a dad. The AD here was perfectly lovely.

Daemons Of THe Shadow Realm- The story is finally starting to make sense, as our lead has Right And Left hold back while he evades two other Daemons, eventually letting them step in. The AD here is also synthetic, and also well written.

Strip Law- They go to a gala for Adam Scott’s character’s mother, and Sheila breaks something. This is a funny show, and I’m sad Netflix abandoned it. The AD was also pretty great. Lots of sight gags and humor were able to be brought out.

Tales Of The TMNT- I watched a lot of animation today. One last storyline as Mikey has to convince his brothers Rob isn’t a bad guy, and they convince him he is, just as Rob is kidnapped. IDC did some wonderful audio description here too (they also did Strip Law).

Life LArry and The Pursuit of Unhappyness- A show that is making me realize Larry David isn’t as funny as I thought. Every sketch goes far too long, and beats whatever point he was making like a dead horse. The AD is fine considering the sketch format.

Breaking Bad- Excellent AD. Walt gets rid of the car he bought for his son in a creative way, Skylar finds out how much Walt makes, Jesse is given a task to perform, and Gus is dealing with a rival cartel. Also, Hank figures it all out.

Best AD: Either Breaking Bad or Strip Law. I thought those two did the most for their shows/episodes.

Worst AD: Synthetic voices. While both had solid writing, both X-Men 97 and Daemons Of The Shadow Realm are cost cutting out the human in the description. Since nothing was a complete travesty as a full project, they lose for the day.
