The writing was all over the place, so it was harder to follow than usual without audio description. This one character kept telling the same story about knowing he was going to die as he saw a giant fish. The thing that made this episode unintentionally hilarious and awesome, is this exchange between a random military guy and Roy Scheider, where the military guy brags about having the buns of a sixteen year old, and implores Scheider to grab his ass to find out. I’ll admit, I laughed. This aging military boss walking around needing someone to grab his butt. It’s not the butt cheeks that I think he wants explored if you get what I’m putting down. First, it starts with an innocent groping of the buttocks, and then Seaquest has to move to Cinemax.

As things in this show move at the pace of molasses, it bears pointing out that the entire show thus far has taken place during a 9 month span, easily measurable because Jack broke up with Charmaine in Season 1, and found out she was pregnant. It’s S5E2, and Charmaine still is pregnant.

Ross and Rachel were broken up for a few hours, where in which Ross managed to hook up with someone else. I do tend to agree with Ross that they were on a break, and I found myself feeling sorry for Rachel, but agreeing with Ross. And it’s not like he’s actively cheating. He just happened to get lucky really fast when Rachel needed to push him away.
