Again, still busy now that I ahve a work schedule and the holidays are behind me. So, five shows today.
5) The English (Amazon)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Not that this episode was bad, but when you only watch 5 things, it’s the small details that matter. This episode featured the least amount of Emily Blunt, which is basically the reason to watch this show. Sure, I’ve been drawn into this world a bit, but it’s kind of how I feel about 1923 and the episodes where Ford and Mirren barely exist.
Episode Grade: B+
4) The Rookie (ABC/Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
The audio description is back! Actually, a cool episode. I don’t think any major life changing moments, but the cases they worked were interesting. And watching Nolan try to kick out people shooting porn in his rental was fun.
Episode Grade: B+
3) Welcome To Chippendales (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I’m not sure I gave Kumail nanjiani enough praise before as an actor, but in Velveeta, he really got to show some range, and I was impressed. As I predicted after feeling “meh” after the pilot, this show has grown on me.
Episode Grade: A-
2) Leopard Skin (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
I love how every episode so far has been totally bonkers and different. This is a very unique show, and I’m actually kind of obsessed with it now.
Episode Grade: A
1) The White Lotus (HBo/HBo MAX)
English Audio Description?: Yes
As the show becomes more and more mysterious, and things start happening, i do wonder why people call this a comedy. To me, it’s not leaning very far that direction. I mean, I’m blind, and perhaps everyone in the cast is wearing clown makeup. But there’s some great dramatic work happening here, not just Jennifer Coolidge, but across the ensemble.
